The admin noticeboard is one way through which users can notify administrators of issues needing administrative attention. While users are welcome to directly contact specific administrators (especially if they are seen to be active), posting here can be an easier and quicker way of ensuring that at least one admin will notice an issue and respond to it promptly. Remember to sign (using four tildes: ~~~~) when posting an issue.

Before posting an issue here, please consider the following:

  • This page is for reporting wiki issues. Please post discussions on the talk page.
  • Post only issues that require administrative action, i.e. blocking vandals, protecting pages, restoring deleted pages etc.
  • Do not post deletion requests here. Deletion requests should be made by adding {{delete|reason for deletion request}} to the top of the target page, which will then automatically mark the page as a candidate for deletion.
  • Do not post issues regarding content disputes. Try making a request for comment instead.
  • Mediation requests between users should only be made once a resolution could not be reached between users.
  • For issues regarding the use of this wiki, please see our help center.

In case of vandalism, posting about it here is low priority. Revert it first, anyone can do so. If the vandal created a new page, tag it for deletion. Assume good faith and consider leaving a message on that user's talk page to explain the reason. Post here only if the user has made several disruptive edits and/or persists despite a warning. Always avoid a revert war with the vandal; it is far better to wait until an admin has a chance to intervene. If a user must be reported here, please use {{user}}, preferably as the topic subject/headline.

This login [nonsense] is making me mad[]

I am actually logged in in Fandom and I see me as logged in there too, but here not and am not allowed to log in, instead I am being sent to the [annoying] twitch page I DO NOT WANT TO USE TWITCH I just wanted to edit an article but seems, you DO NOT WANT ME TO HELP ANYMORE so just go [watch cat videos] please –Preceding unsigned comment was added by 93.135.81.249 (talk) at 11:52, 9 July 2020‎ (UTC). Hello, to address your points:
  1. Work is being conducted on merging authentication systems between Fandom and Gamepedia. Soon enough, you should be able to use your Fandom account to edit this wiki. The Twitch requirement is often a source of issues and discontent, and with this auth work, it will stop being such a requirement.
  2. You can edit most articles without logging in, just like you edited this admin noticeboard. If an article is semi-protected, however, you won't be able to edit it, but you should be able to edit its talk page to suggest changes.
Additionally, please tone down the colorful language, it may overshadow your objections to make them look completely unimportant. (Note: I am not an admin here.) --AttemptToCallNil (talk) 18:12, 9 July 2020 (UTC)
Well, the Twitch requirement is gone now. A Fandom account with confirmed email and a password can be used as an auth method for Gamepedia. There are still some issues with the auth system (you can't log out, but clearing cookies should do the trick), but they should be gone after the weekend. --AttemptToCallNil (talk) 10:14, 25 July 2020 (UTC)

Side quests show MediaWiki internal errors[]

Side Quests appear to be broken. When attempting to access multiple Side Quest pages they return the error

MediaWiki internal error.

Original exception: [df2a0118fb7ea6a] 2021-07-31 13:44:44: Fatal exception of type "WikiaException"

Exception caught inside exception handler.

Set $wgShowExceptionDetails = true; at the bottom of LocalSettings.php to show detailed debugging information.

(Not an admin, just an involved user.) I tried to check quest pages, didn't get internal errors on any of them. Probably just a temporary issue on Fandom's side. Typically, internal errors like this one are also not caused by something wiki editors did and can't be fixed by wiki editors. --AttemptToCallNil (talk) 15:02, 31 July 2021 (UTC)
(Additional Information) This appears to happen to people that are not logged in. If you create an account then the issue seems to go away. --DaStormbringerX (talk) 10:02, 4 Aug 2021 (UTC)
